1. Description of service

Control Total is a personal financial management app that allows users to track income and expenses, visualize their financial health, set payment reminders, sync banking data through third-party services like Plaid, check their credit score, and receive personalized recommendations.

2. User accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering.
• We reserve the right to suspend or cancel accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User responsibilities

• Use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable law.
• Do not enter false, fraudulent, or third-party data without authorization.
• Do not attempt to access, alter, or disrupt the app's systems, servers, or networks.
• Do not use the app as a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice.

4. Premium subscription and payments

• Prices may change; modifications will be notified with reasonable advance notice.
• No partial refunds are issued for unused periods, unless required by law.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Profile section or the payment platform.

The app offers free and premium features via monthly or annual subscription processed through Base44 Payments (Wix Payments). Payments are managed and billed according to the selected plan. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

5. Guest mode

The app offers a 24-hour guest mode that allows trying features without registering. Data entered in guest mode is stored locally on your device. Upon registering or logging in, the data is migrated to your account. If you do not register within 24 hours, guest mode data is deleted.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, source code, trademarks, logos, and content are owned by Control Total and protected by intellectual property laws. The source code and technical documentation are registered as an unpublished work. Copying, modifying, distributing, or reverse-engineering the app without express authorization is not permitted.

7. Third-party services

The app integrates with third-party services such as Plaid (banking sync), Equifax and Experian (credit score), Google Calendar (reminders), and Google Sheets (data export). Use of these services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or interruptions of such services.

8. Financial data accuracy

The financial information shown in the app depends on the data you enter or sync. We do not guarantee that balances, interest calculations, analysis, or recommendations are completely accurate. The app is a support tool and does not replace the advice of a certified financial professional.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use of the app is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential damages, or data loss arising from the use or inability to use the app. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile section. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app if we believe these Terms have been violated. Upon termination, your data will be retained or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of significant changes within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the current Terms.
